“Marlboro Academy Dragons
for March of Dimes”

Did you know that every year, more than half a million babies are born too soon? Over 9,000 of those babies are right here in South Carolina. One of every 7 babies born in SC is premature. Every week in SC, nearly 150 babies are born low birth weight & must fight to survive.

The Marlboro Academy Interact Club is raising money for “March of Dimes – March for Babies”! The walk is Saturday, October 20th at 10AM starting from Marlboro County High School. Thanks to your generosity we raised $1,275.55 last year for this wonderful cause. Our goal this year is $2000.00! Please help us reach our goal!

There are several ways to donate:

• Honor a baby in a special way by purchasing a butterfly for $10 to be displayed in the butterfly garden at the March for Babies event.
   
• Purchase March of Dimes name cards for $1 to be displayed in the hallway.
   
• Purchase banners, mile markers &/or mission signs to be displayed at the March of Dimes walk. (This is a great way for employers & businesses to sponsor Interact Club.)
   
• Simply send a check to school with your child made payable to March of Dimes, memo Marlboro Academy.

Over the next few weeks, Interact Club will be doing several class fundraisers. The class with the most money raised will be awarded to an Ice Cream/Cupcake Social sponsored by Interact Club!!!

Any donation is greatly appreciated! Please help March of Dimes give every baby the healthy start in life they deserve!
